George William Jenks (May 17, 1937 to January 4, 1987) - Daddy was born in Ashtabula, Ohio, the only living child of George William Jenks and Leona Mae Cooper. Weighing a little over 4 pounds at birth, dad managed to do what his previous seven siblings never did: live. Dad was always a quiet, introverted boy who helped his widowed mother with the running of her boarding house. His father died before his second birthday and he was raised, alone, by his mother. Dad took a keen interest in earning his way and took a job as a paperboy at an early age. His most ardent pastime was baseball and, in particular, the Cleveland Indians. Dad joined the Air Force and served during the Vietnam War. After returning to Ohio with mom, he resumed his position at Sherwin Williams Paint where he remained for the rest of his life. Dad suffered a heart attack on Saturday, January 3, 1987, while watching a Cleveland Browns game with mom and me. He passed away the next day. My father was a true family man; utterly devoted to his wife and children. He was an extraordinary man of patience and a perfect father. There is not a day that goes by that he isn't missed.

Mildred Lorraine (Cleveland) Jenks (1943-) - Born in May 1943 in Presho, South Dakota, mom is the fifth child of Elmer Cleveland and Caroline Dreier. Raised on a farm with her brothers, Gilbert, Lawrence and Jerry, and sisters, Carol and LaVonne, mom grew up to attend college in Rapid City, South Dakota, majoring in Histology. She met our father, George, when the Air Force stationed him there in 1963. They were married in Presho, April 4, 1964, and moved back to his home state of Ohio after his honorable discharge. Mom lived in Akron, Ohio from 1964 until 1999 when she moved to California to be near her children. She moved to Georgia in 2005, along with my brother, David, and his family. My mother is the most honest, hard-working, down-to-earth person I have ever known. Even after her husband's death in 1987, she prevailed and made her way alone. She is an inspiration to me to an extent she will never fathom. Thank you, mom. I love you.

Sharon Ann (Jenks) Segovia (1965-) - Born in June 1965, in Akron, Ohio, I am the first born child of the the greatest parents anyone could ever wish to have; George William Jenks and Mildred Lorraine Cleveland. I spent 30 years in Akron and moved to California in 1995. I worked in the Business Administration/Information Systems field and am a graduate of California State University-Northridge where I obtained my Bachelor's degree. I enjoy reading, writing, movies, quilting, researching my genealogy and all forms of domestic pursuits. I am also a World of Warcraft and Elder Scrolls junkie. (And NO it is not an all consuming addiction that can't be walked away from!!) I NEVER get bored! I lived and worked in Southern California for 11 years until I found the most perfect man in the world, Roy. Along with Roy's son, Ryan, we all moved to Georgia in 2006 and couldn't be happier. We were married on Oct 6, 2007.

David Allen Jenks (1967-) - Born in October 1967 in Akron, Ohio, David is the second (and only other child) of George and Millie Jenks. David obtained his doctorate in Criminal Justice at Florida State University and accepted a position teaching at California State University-Los Angeles. He has traveled extensively all over the world in the name of academia and enjoys all forms of intellectual pursuits. He has been published for a number of years in his field of Criminal Justice. He is unbelievably outgoing and charming to all who know him. He is a kind and considerate person and I am proud to have him as my brother. He moved to Georgia in 2005, with his wife and baby daughter, Annika, and our mother, to teach at the University of West Georgia . In 2006, we all welcomed the newest addition to the Jenks' family, Nicholas!
