Shubael Jenks (June 2, 1767 to July 8, 1847) - The fifth born child of Jesse Jenks and Mary Smith, Shubael was born in Smithfield, Rhode Island. He married Hannah in Adams, Massachusetts, on March 17, 1791. They resided for a time in Pownal, Vermont before moving to Saybrook, Ohio.

Hannah Smith (February 28, 1773 to April 19, 1834) Born of Solomon and Mercy Smith.

*Mahala (Jenks) Blackington (August 9, 1801 to November 5, 1820) A very special note about Mahala. She was the sixth child of Shubael Sr. and Hannah. She married Jesse Blackington of Pownal, Vermont. She died giving birth to her only child. Her daughter, Julia, and her widower husband, Jesse, moved to Roscoe, Illinois after her death. Her husband Jesse died November 5, 1850. She is buried in Saybrook Cemetery and has a beautiful, large monument erected to mark her place of rest.
