Deliverance Cleveland (1684 to October 3, 1744) - Born in North Kingston, Washington, Rhode Island, to Edward Cleveland and Deliverance Palmer. He married Mary Bates about 1707. Deliverance died October 3, 1744, in No Kingstowne, Washington, Rhode Island. Deliverance Cleveland evidently lived near North Kingston, and not improbably followed his father to Windham County, but is thought to have returned to Rhode Island. No trace has been found beyond his name and those of his heirs in the last will of Edward. He was dead before the date of the will. The destruction and mutilation of the Rhode Island records during and since the Revolution preclude their important aid in the research. Deliverance Cleveland, it appears, was named in honor of his mother, the name in those days applicable to either sex, as will be found in other cases.

Mary Bates (1684 to 1728) Mary was born about 1684 to Frances Daniel Bates (1668 - 1742) and Elizabeth Mary Burges (1670 - 1726). She married Deliverance Cleveland about 1705 at the age of twenty-one. Together they had seven children. She died in North Kingstown, Washington, Rhode Island, at the age of forty-four.

*Enoch Cleveland is the grandfather of Chloe Spoor through his daughter Zilpah Cleveland. This makes him Royal Cleveland's great grandfather.
