Josiah Cleveland (March 23, 1761 to May 26, 1824) - Josiah was born in Benson, Rutland, Vermont, to Oliver Cleveland and Azubah Smith. He married Chloe Spoor in 1784 at the age of 23. He received a U.S. Revolutionary War Pension. He moved to New York sometime between 1800 and 1810. It seems he may have married after Chloe's death because his twelth child was born three years after her death. He died in Hampton Flat, Washington, New York, at the age of sixty-three.

Chloe Spoor (1767 to September 13, 1808) - Chloe Spoor was born in Hampton, Washington, New York, to Nicholas Spoor and Zilpah Cleveland. She married Josiah Cleveland in 1784 at the age of seventeen. Josiah and Chloe were distant cousins, related through Deliverance Cleveland. Together they had eleven children. She died in Fair Haven, Rutland, Vermont, on September 13, 1804, at the age of forty-one.
