Royal Cleveland (September 4, 1802 to January 5, 1880) - Royal was born in Fair Haven, Rutland, Vermont, to Josiah Cleveland and Cloe Spoor. He was the ninth born child listed on the census records. Royal married Mary Miranda Warren in Sandy Hill, Oswego, New York, on July 5, 1835, at the age of thirty five. They are listed on the 1850 Census living in York, Dane, Wisconsin, with their four children; Chloe (14), Albert (12), Phoeba (9), and John Hnery (5). They are listed again on the 1860 living in York, Dane, Wisconsin, with their two children, Albert R., who was a school teacher at the age of 22, and John Henry. Royal died in Smith Center, Smith, Kansas, on January 5, 1880, a widower, of kidney disease.

Mary Miranda Warren (November 22, 1811 to November 19, 1876)Mary was born November 22, 1811, to Joseph Warren and Betsey Bullock. She was born in Windsor, Vermont. Together with her husband, Royal, they had four children, Chloe E., Albert R., Phoeba A., and John Henry. Mary died November 19, 1876, in Dane, Wisconsin, shortly before her husband.
